A fruitful event

6th-9th of July, AMM Conference in Penang is one of the amazing events happened to me so far. This conference was held in Rainbow Paradise Beach Resort, Georgetown.

I almost cancelled on it to be honest, because for the last minute I get to know that I need to get an important document in Kuala Lumpur on the 10th. It will be a rush to fly from Penang to Kuala Lumpur on the 9th of July because the event ended at 5pm. I was furious and anxious. But God knows well about my plan. He arranged everything for me.

I went to Penang and decided not to worry about anything. Some things came up about my documentations and house rental problems during the conference. It would be a lie if I say I am totally carefree. Multiple calls and text messages kept popping up. Instead of continuing to be worried, I prayed to Him to ease everything by the next morning.

On Sabbath, I received calls telling that my documents are ready to be posted to my house and my house rental problems are solved. Praise God.

I was glad I met inspiring missionary doctors in this conference. The way they portray their life as a doctor and someone who speak about the Lord, it amazed me, even until now. They have a great spiritual life that at one point of the conference I thought I was talking to people that is out of this world. It reminds me on the things that I had abandoned while finishing my journey as a medical student.

I learnt about sacrifice and patience, besides taking His Word as a guidance and not simply a burden. I were able to listen to the doctors exchanging their opinions, and learnt some lessons before I start my first posting in the hospital.

Besides enjoying His Words, new friends are the second gift from God. I’ve known several medical doctors and specialist, not forgetting nurses and other healthcare professionals.

I am glad that God had sent me here. It was a fruitful event. He prepares me more on the uncertainties in future. Can’t wait for the next conference!
